I went to the AT&T Classic in Duluth, GA a few years ago. It was the first and only tournament I've been to. It was pretty cool to go and actually watch the pros in action.
My son had a great experience this summer. As part of his summer internship he got to help setup and work the PGA championship. Then got to be inside the ropes during the first two days of the tournament and work with a PGA rules official. He said it was amazing to see these great players and the shots they could pull off.

I saw Shaun Micheel stiff his approach shot on the 18th hole of the final round to clinch the 2003 PGA Championship...
...At the very hallowed Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY.
I love watching the pros on the range. Their swings are effortless, but you know they're powerful. I saw Mickelson hitting a 5-iron at La Costa one year. He started by cranking it out around 200 yards, then he put a little cut on it and hit it about 180. He kept opening up the blade and hitting a bigger cut, each time taking about 20 yards off his distance. He got all the way down to taking a fairly full swing with his 5-iron and hitting a banana ball only 100 yards. It was just amazing!
