Paul Lawrie.

presume most of you know of Paul Lawrie, the beneficiary of the Van De Velde meltdown at Carnoustie during the Open a few years ago. He just missed another cut yesterday, I feel for the guy, I read a very interesting article about him in a Scottish paper. He has a very good golf swing, likewise with his short game and is one of the better putters out there. Paul, for the most part, has no idea where the ball will go when he tees it up. He has been working on a fade and ends up with a hook, he works on the draw and ends up with a slice, brutal to watch and sad to see. I think he is torturing himself, financially he is fine so he's not out there grinding just trying to make a cheque to support his family. He is considering time away from competitive golf to work on his game and to regain his confidence, a good idea indeed, it would be nice to see Paul compete again in tournaments instead of the grind trying to make the cut.
