Rise Of British Golfers

As the first European Tour event of this year hits the British Isles, the snowbirds have returned. Poulter,Davis,Clarke ,Westwood ,Howell and McDowell are playing back in Europe this week. Only Donald and Rose are staying stateside.Owen is taking the week off. Casey is playing less in USA following his mauling by the press. With Monty still not into the top 50, he is playing every event he can to obtain a place in the US Open.

As a top 11 , this is an impressive list and shows the growth of golf this side of the pond. Five years ago, England had one player, Westwood ,in the top 100. Now with Donald,CAsey,Poulter ,Owen and Howell under 30 years of age, and in the top 50, things have improved.

Still have n't won any MAjors though. It will come, and like before they will win regularly.
