Does this have anything at all to do with the height of the ball from the ground at launch? I guess that all depends on how you impact the ball - but for example, can you correct too low of a launch angle by "teeing it up" a little higher with these new super long tees? Or is the real answer here to fix your swing and/or equipment rather than trying some strange fix?

It has been my experience that changing the tee height can influnce the way that you attack the golf ball. If your angle of attack is too steep and you hit down on the ball (resulting in a lower tee height), you will produce more spin on the golf ball. Ideally you want to strike the golf ball on the upward movement of the swing. So you could argue that tee the ball higher would help, but there is more to it than just teeing it higher. Again, being fit for a driver will help, and seeking the advise of your local PGA golf professional never hurts.

Ok, so in other words, in lieu of teeing the ball up higher, I could try to move the ball slightly more forward in my stance so that I'm attacking it on the upward part of the swing. I'll give it a try thanks! I just moved here last year (yeah, last YEAR) and I haven't contacted any local pros yet but that's definitely on my todo list. I really need to find a course to call my own as well. I'm in the golfing capital of the world (yeah, i'm a little biased, but hey, thats what it says on our license plates! lol) and I still struggle to find the time to play as much as I'd like to.

What is the ideal ball flight for a driver?
