From what I know (and i may be wrong), you can use only one type of ball for a round. This is to prevent a player from using a Pinnecle low spin distance ball on a par 5 (or a Pro V1x) and then using a Pro V1 or high spin/soft ball on par 3s.. Or in your example, using a Warbird and HX Blue to take advantage of the characteristics for a certain hole.
Obviously, this is for tournament play and competitive golf (like PGA players).
