Aiming

When I hit the ball, I have a huge problem aiming it to go where I want it to. I will think that I am aimed at the right spot, and then my bf will tell me that I am aimed too far right. Any suggestions that might help me?

I keep my aiming simple. Find your target out on the fw then pick a spot a couple feet in front of your teed ball that would be in direct line to your target if you drew an imaginary line. Set up to this imaginary spot. Once you pick out your spot in front of the teed ball just concentrate on hitting it there. It's always easier to aim a ball 2 feet ahead than 200 hundred yards. This has been one my pre-shot routines that is a must.

I also find that if you lay a club down and point it at your target while you are standing over the ball, then you take a a few steps back and look at it, more than likely it will be way off. I think in a proper setup (golf swing) you should be lined up parallel with the target not dead at the target.....I always lay a club down to help with alignment and getting a feel for where I am hitting the ball based on where I am lined up at.

I think my aiming problems are actually a problem with my swing. If that makes sense. The ball always goes right, so I end up aiming left of my target.

I need a driving range buddy. I don't like going by myself. I would hit in my back yard, but I am scared of snakes.
