Cupped Or Flat Wrist At The Top Of The Backswing?

what are advantages/disadvantages of both? Tiger is flat, hogan was cupped. Also, if you cupp at the top doesn't it make it hardeer to obtain a flat wrist at impact?

I think it depends on your grip. If you have a very strong grip and strive for a flat wrist at the top then your club is going to be way open and difficult to square up in the zone consistently. I strive for passive hands in the swing to counteract the cup I have at the top.

I have a bowed wrist at the top. It allows me to deloft and trap the ball at impact. This is the secret to power. Weak hitters add loft to their club and slap at the ball. Plus, I don't hook the ball as people tend to believe from this position. I playa power fade with the driver and a soft fade with the irons with lots of power. You can play cupped, flat or bowed. If you practice enough you can learn any way or philosophy. I prefer bowed because you will trap the ball consistently, it's a powerful move, you can extract the ball from any lie, and it's much easier to reproduce in my humble opinion...
