Taylor Made vs X-18??

I just started playing about 3 months ago. I'm working my up to sucky level. I know there are many good makes out there, but I would like a decision involving only 2 sets of irons.

I have Callaway X-18 uniflex steel shafts 2 - PW.

I have been offered a trade of brand new Taylor Made RAC OS Light Metal irons 3 - PW.

I would be giving up a 2 iron with the Callaway set.

Which one in your opinion is the better set for someone working their up to sucky level?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

If you are just starting out you prolly shouldnt have a 2 iron in your bag anyways, maybe try some hybrids... as for the trade, i would say it is really whatever you feel most comfortable with, the x-18 irons are really good clubs, but the racs may be more forgiving in the long run, again you may want to try out the racs and see which ones you hit better... Hope this helps

They're both equal, if you ask me. I'd stick to what you have. I think Callaway makes the most forgiving, most player friendly irons out there.

Just my $.02 worth....
