Any feedback on the Mizuno MX-23's?

Hey guys and girls - looking to make a move out of the Taylor Made RAC Os's that I've been playing with for a couple of years. I currently carry a 21 handicap and just really like the look of the Mizunos. It's not like I've outgrown the TM's, but really like the shape of the MX-23's in particular.

Does anyone have experience with this set? Worth it for the mid-high handicapper?

You won't find to many people that don't like Mizuno producst but they are usually talking about their forged blades. I haven't looked at these in particular since I tend to associate Mizuno irons with blades and a more advanced golfer. Having said that I will check them out. Have you looked at the new r7 irons? I was going to chcek those out as well just for kicks. For me I found the perfect balanbce in the Fushion irons for both distance and forgiveness. I tihnk everyone will start to come out with titanium faced irons like the Fushion did. TM already did with their r7's

Having already played with Taylor Mades, I'm not interested in picking up another set. I also have a set of Titleist 690 MBs (from when I was playing in the single digits - years ago), and a set of Pings. I really just like switching out irons every few years for no justifiable reason.

I do like the MP-33s, but am nowhere near good enough to play with them now. 5 years ago, I probably could have, but now I'm lucky enough to get to the course once a month .

You got that right, but it's a good one! I really just like clubs - I have a few sets of irons and too many putters. My primary focus over the past few years has been collecting Cameron putters. I have to tell the GF that I found them on sale and stuff. It's really kind of sad...

Ha! I've had 2 Cameron putters myself and moved up to the Fushion irons after owning the x-18's for only 2 months. Why? They "felt" better but does that really justify spending another $1,000 on irons?

You bet!!!

Hmm...maybe I need to go look at drivers today.

Don't do it - I happened to go to the local golf shop here last week (David Gates if anyone knows it) and they had the Titleist 905s on sale. Needless to say, I came out with a box of balls and a new driver.

I rationalized this by saying that my 975J-VS was just outdated technology and I really needed to step it up for my summer league!

I saw a golf quote today actually about this - something to the effect of "A dying golfer's last wish is that his wife doesn't sell his clubs for what he TOLD her he paid for them."
