A "Masters" Ball

I have heard that the Masters is talking about having a single type of ball that all competitors must play. Heard that this is still a couple of years away I have only heard a little about this (on the golf channel), does anyone know if this is really a consideration, or just a rumour?

I would be very interested to see what happened if everyone played the same ball. With all this talk about oversized drivers and COR, people are overlooking the number one cause of the distance boom: The Titleist Pro V1.

I agree, it would definetly be very interesting to see how this went. Probley alot of nagging from sponsors and ball companys since it would limit it down to 1 ball.

Keeping everyone to one ball i think would make many of the players agnry because while many of them use pro Vs but still others dont because they like thiers. Plus the whole sponser, endorisment deals thing

The Masters is the most prestigeous tournament in the world. Augusta can do whatever they want. Nobody is giving up a shot at a Green Jacket just because they can't play their Titleist for 4 days. Besides the players still have sponsor's names all over their bodies (and bags).
