I could care less if the brands match. You shouldnt buy a club just because it is the same brand as your others. You should buy what feels the best when you hit with it.

So true. It's all about which fits you better. I love Mizunos for their irons, but love my Callaway 415 GBB2 driver.

For the most part I play a Nike Forged 450cc driver with Accuflex shaft, Nike forged 15 degree and 17 degree fairway woods that I interchange depending on course. Cleveland Ta2 irons 5 thru PW, Ping 4-iron and ping wedges(50, 53 and 58 degrees) I use the "Heavy Putter" with exchangeable weight technology. I usually play Bridgestone golf balls and use a bag by OGIO. Shoes by Footjoy. I usually wear Ping hats and buy Ping golf shirts with the zipper collar instead of the buttons....how is that for mixing and matching???? LOL

I'm glad to hear brand loyalty isn't a huge issue. With a starter, I wasn't sure if I should buy a set of clubs or purchase individual ones that have the best fit. I think I've found my answer.

unless you're being paid by the company like local pro's their is no need to be loyal. It's hard to find one company that makes every product well. You may like Titleist drivers but hate their irons. Many people love Ping wedges but hate their irons. Ping made terrible drivers for awhile but their G2 and G5 were a huge improvement. The new Rapture looks promising. Nike is highly under-rated in my opinion. The original Nike Forged driver ,that Tiger won a few majors with, is a remarkable club. The shaft was garbage. I have the 450cc head and got it reshafted with an Accuflex-Extra-stiff shaft and it's the longest, straightest, lowest spinning driver I ever hit and I hit em' all! Nike offers a wide variety of products for all levels of play...

yep, i agree no need to play the same brand across the board. i somehow kept it close, cause somehow what i liked was related. FT-3 driver, Steelhead Plus 3-wood and heavenwood 1H which i change for conditions and courses, Cobra Carbon Cb 3-pw, vokey raw gw, spin milled 58 and 62 and Scotty red x2
