Coolest place you've ever played

What is the coolest course you have ever played. I have played the Coeur d Alene golf course twice and the views there are fantastic. The course isn't that tough but they treat you better than anywhere else I've played. If you pick up a deal then it is definately worth the money.

I would agree mainly because we worked our caddy so hard and the sandwhichs were good. Ohh yeah Nice course too.

i played a few courses down Pinehurst but not #2. Played a few down Hilton Head, they were fun because if you sliced it you ended up in the ocean.

Id say of the coolest courses I havent played at but visited and used the putting green driving range, would have to be. The only golf course on St.thomas the MAHOGANY RUN GOLF COURSE, and one of the few golf courses in the canary islands (forgot the name) it was on the island of Lazarote.

1. TPC Sawgrass - Jax
2. Port Royal - Barony Run - Hilton Head
3. World Woods (Both the Pine Barren Rolling Oaks Runs) - Brooksville FL
4. Champion's Gate - Orlando
5. King and the Bear - St. Augustine

All of the cool golf courses I've played have had their unique characteristics. Sawgrass was cool just because of the history and the extreme finishes we've seen over the years. Port Royal was neat because it was very difficult and you could smell the ocean. World Woods was the coolest combination of traditional links style golf and new age design. Champions Gate (both runs) were just visually stunning, and King and the Bear was one, if not the most intimidating course I've ever played. There was not one shot that could just be a safe shot.

Very cool!

I have been to many cool courses, when on vacation. I have not actually played at them, which is to bad. I will try and dig up some pictures of courses I have been to.
