When I'm playing well, my flight is dead straight. Being self-taught, I learned everything in the mindset of "do it right," which doesn't allow for people's natural tendencies to swing one way or another. Biggest change lately, though, was a comment I heard Johnny Miller make. He said the proper way to shape the ball is to hit it squarely and impart the spin you want while the ball is compressed on the clubface. If you're swinging out-to-in or vice versa, the ball is actually sliding on your clubface, not being hit square. That made a lot of sense to me, so I've really been practicing swinging square all the time.

Well now that I've had some well spent time at the range, I've figured out how to pull it a little. Not drastically but just a hair. I pull my arms in ever so slightly and it turns just a bit, I guess that's right?

So I've really been working on my game, played Friday, first time since JUNE 2004! But my irons need some work, so I'm going to play some and then practice, I think after just to work on them.

I love to work the ball both directions but I play straight most of the time.
