We All Need Caddies

If we all could concentrate on where we should hit it, instead of where we are most likely to find it, the game would be much easier.

Ok, I am going to swing at this and you keep and eye on it. If I hit a bad shot, find it some place good.

Its a golf cart sport; and thats why the average weekend golfers scores have not improved in the last twenty five years. Right about the time caddies lost there jobs and golf carts took over.

I'd love to bring back caddies but think the reason that scores haven't improved is still the same as always... not enough practice. The average weekend guy just drives to the course, hits about 20 range balls hoping he can get it airborne and then hits the first tee without adequate warm-up. Then, he loses so many strokes around the green (or from 100 yds in) that only practice can help - even with the advances in technology.

By the way, an overwhelming majority of golfers at my club walk (carrying or using a push cart) and they don't play any better than the riders. Maybe worse, because they are worn out by the 12th hole.
