Here in Texas, we are year round. We probably have 10 days a year when the courses don't open. It isn't unusual for the courses to be closed until noon on below freezing mornings. It has to be below freezing at noon for the course to stay closed.

I have played many rounds when it is in the 30s and 40s. It's cold, but better than staying home doing house work. Two winter gloves, ski cap, and we are off.

Here in Southern AZ the courses are open all year long. December and January our temps still hit 65-70 each day, but sometimes it can be hard to get a tee time for all of the Snowbirds.

Desert Rats who live here year round and who's bodies have adjusted to summer time heat can play some super nice courses at bargain prices. Some courses up in Phoenix even have AC on the golf carts!
