What If....

There where no limits ? I was on the course today and just thought about where the pros might be, or the average golfer for that matter, would be if their werent equipment limits by the USGA. how far do you think the balls would go? or how much spin they would have? or even for shoes, what if their was no limit on how long the spikes could be? im interested to hear how much difference their would be on all kinds of equipment.

w/ todays technology and the things that some people can come up w/, I'm sure the pros can easily hit a ball longer and straighter. some how, some way, you could make things work (I'm no scientist or anything, but I'm pretty sure there's a way of making clubs and balls a lot more advanced than the way things are now). w/ no limits, golf would be crazy, then IMO would become a stupid sport. just my .02
