Even more so impressive, I think my most amazing shot well shots was at a local range. I was chipping out of the bunker and got two eagles on their little practice green.

I guess mine is, #12 at Turtle Creek in Limerick PA. Short par 4 but with a severe short dogleg left with lots of trees protecting the corner and a narrow fairway that falls off quickly if you go right at all.

I was playing with a couple friends who hadn't played it before (think I had only played it once or twice). I told them, you could try to cut some of the corner because, if you can get it over the trees, you'll most likely have a pretty easy pitch to the green. The alternative is to hit something laser straight down the fairway, which still needs to be long to get a view around the corner.

Anyway, I decide to take a 3-wood and pick a line over the trees. I didn't know exactly what was a good line so I just did a quick "looks good" and fired away. I tagged it good, but actually hit it a bit left of where I wanted. It was high and it seemed like it was a sure bet to clear the trees. I turned to my partners and said that I thought it should be somewhere in play around the green.

We get up to the green and there sits my ball. It landed on the green, clearing a greenside bunker, by about a foot and came to a stop about 5-6 feet from the hole. Yes, I made the eagle putt.

3rd hole at Westchase G&C in Tampa is a 160ish P3 that is 95% carry with a lake in front of the green, marsh and traps left, trees behind and traps on the right. Trying to avoid all of that mess, I decide to play long and at least give myself a shot to make par with a 2 putt. I decide to go with a short 4-iron and still am amazed by what happened.

The ball starts out right of the flag and begins to draw back in (which is doubly impressive because I can't hit a draw to save my life) and starts to move aggressively through the air. I'm hoping for the ball to sit so I don't take my next shot from behind some trees. Anyway, the ball slams into one of the palm trees and ricochets toward the green and stops maybe 2 inches from the pin.

A good buddy of mine that was there still believes that was the luckiest shot he's ever seen, and it's definitely one of my luckiest!
