Too Much wind to get out today

The wind here is running a steady 25-30 with gusts of 45-50. I'm not that brave.

But I did get out yesterday morning and hit 18 for one of the few times in my life. Ended up with an 86. Not bad for no more practice than I get.

Supposed to go out and try 9 tomorrow ( If this wind ever dies down )

Our temps here in the high desert this time of year are perfect. 70-80 each day. It doesn't get real hot until the end of May, and it shouldn't rain until just after the 4th of July. But we just started 6 weeks of high winds. The wind will blow 25+ mph 4-5 days a week. It's hard to motivate myself to go outside for anything right now.

Yeah I dislike wind, Coming from Chicago anything over 70F is good. Im a hot weather type of guy I love hot weather so 80-90F does not bother me.

I ended up golfing horribly yesterday finishing 9 with a 49. I developed a duck hook from hell at the end of last year and my first time out this year, it's still there. Everything else seemed to be pretty good. Hopefully I will be able to get that thing under control.

Woodi, you are lying. I played with you and you shot a 44. 39 is a decent score though.

I hate Trees!

I hit a 49 myself last night. I was doing real well, getting ready to squeak another win on my partner. Everything was going great until that last hole.

I had laid up a little short to make the dogleg, but I was going to play it safe and avoid the water in the corner. We had taken a new player with us, it was his second time on a course. As I lined up, he asked "Why don't you just cut the corner over the pond, wouldn't that get you a lot closer?"

Like an idiot, I turned and tried. I hit a branch and dropped the ball right into a flock of ducks. So I dropped a new ball at the ponds edge, and went for the green. I had the distance, but was a little off in my aim.

Instead of the green, I dropped into the nastiest sand trap on the course. On my first shot out of the sand, I hit the top of the hill, the ball rolled back with in 6" of where it had been. The next shot was a little better, but the greens were fast and angled away, the ball rolled past the pin, picked up speed and right off into the sand on the other side. :x

That was the only hole my partner hit par on all night.
