Rep Power: 0 | I was golfing with some of my golfing buddies, a couple of whom were beginner golfers. We were at our usual course and were teeing off on #3, a par 5. As we were teeing off, one of the guys shanked the ball toward the parked golf cart of the group behind us. A couple of the old fogies in that group made some sarcastic remarks, one of them saying "maybe you should hit it from the ladies tees." Although a little bit funny, we got a little pissed off at the nerve of the old guy. So, after finishing the par 5 3rd, we waited at the tee box of the par 3 4th. We waited until the old guys got to the tee box, and asked them if they'd like to play through. They took the offer, so we waited, only to see the three of them shank their balls nowhere near the green.
Better yet, at the end of the round as we were heading to our cars in the parking lot, there was a stalled truck that needed a push. The guy got out to ask us for some help, and sure enough it was one of the men in the group.

Rep Power: 0 | i hate slow groups that play in front of me and don't let me pass. When there is a group of old ladies that play infront of me and don't let me pass i usually skip one hole and pass them myself. i hate waiting ten min on every tee box.

Rep Power: 0 | Well my neighbor went to play at the course I work at, and there was an outing in front of them. Which was ok but usually the last group is the slowest, so the entire outing group isn't slowed down. Well, when I say slow, thats an understatement!
One of these guys was new to the game, and ignorant to the rules and procedures of golf, even though he spent 1K on Fusions?!?! Why, I have yet to find out. He spent 20-25 minutes (no exaduration) in the woods looking for his ball, didn't hit a prelim shot, just kept looking.
So they ended up playingthe front nine in 3 1/2 hours, but passed them at the turn, and played the back in 1:45mins.
I haven't had any terrible times yet...*knock on wood*.

Rep Power: 0 | How about just the opposite problem? I hate speed golfers. Those who race to see just how fast they can play a round.
I've one group at my local course, it this guy has to wait more than a minute to tee off, he will skip the hole. No problem, and if I see him in a group coming up behind, I'll hold up and wait to let them through.
I never ride, I walk, and I know I'm not as fast a player as those who ride. But I don't want people to wait on me, so I don't mind letting them pass as soon as it is convenient.
For the last couple of weekends, I've been taking my wife and a son with me for 18. He is new to golf, and she doesn't play, just goes for the exercise.
We were a hole behind another group, when a foursome came up behind. We held up and let them pass, not that they could get far due to the group in front of us.
A couple of holes later, I'm putting and hear a plop. Two old women playing speed golf had come up behind and one of them fired on us. Pissed me off, but I didn't say or do anything. On the next hole, #8. They fired on us two more times. Nearly hitting my boy and my bag.
We walk up to #9, and no sooner tee off when one of them comes racing up in her cart, telling us how slow players are supposed to let them pass though. Then her partner pulls up and the two of them start making comments about how my son should be on a driving range, not a golf course. ( He had a good drive, but it landed in the next fairway )
The wife grabbed my arm to quiet me, if it hadn't been for her and my son there, I'm afraid one of them would have spent the next week trying to **** a golf ball.
I don't think I've ever had someone piss me off so badly on a course. I couldn't even finish the hole. They spoiled our morning and we went home.

Rep Power: 0 | one time me and a bunch of buddies of mine were playing, and there was a group in front of us as well as a group behind us. the guys behind us keep yelling at us saying "come on!!!" and stuff like that, but we can't do anything about it because of the group in front of us. one person from the group behind us decides to hit into us (it was a par 3). the ball hits my bag while I was trying to putt. I got so furious that I took my PW out and hit it back at the teebox that they were standing on, and nearly hit the kid that hit it at us. that'll teach them a lesson
