It has been my experience that changing the tee height can influnce the way that you attack the golf ball. If your angle of attack is too steep and you hit down on the ball (resulting in a lower tee height), you will produce more spin on the golf ball. Ideally you want to strike the golf ball on the upward movement of the swing. So you could argue that tee the ball higher would help, but there is more to it than just teeing it higher. Again, being fit for a driver will help, and seeking the advise of your local PGA golf professional never hurts.
