| I had the shanks so bad that it drove a devoted golfer to the range for a whole year. I found that about waist to shoulder high I was counter twisting my hands/arms so that at this point in my swing the back of my left hand was cuped and facing sky high which in effect left the club wide open. Then I couldn't find a method that would cure me of this backswing "Yip". I finally found that if used a strong left hand grip (3 nuckles showing) and v between right thumb and forefinger pointing at and not beyond right shoulder, combined with a slow connected one piece back swing I could finally play good golf again, knock on persimon.
