Been struggling a little lately and thought a new driver may kick me into gear. Still, I hate to spend the $200, 300 or 400 that you see many people spending. So, I waited and waited, and decided that $149.99 for a new TM R540 XD was too good too pass up. Good call!

Now, I had been struggling with getting my lower body to unwind properly to gain power, and I think I fixed that coincidentally when I took this new club out, so take this with a grain of salt. However, I didn't even get to swing the club in the store or on the range. We were playing in a scramble and I was the 'position' guy (at least to start), so I didn't even take it out until our seventh hole - a 523-yard par 5. I figured we'd have the leeway to all take our rips. We ended up playing my drive, which was dead down the middle, and right behind the blue dot. I'll take 322, thank you!

The club is very well-balanced, live and forgiving. I caught another one slightly on the two and it still got out there. Worth checking out if anyone is in the market.
